This version of Pinot Gris is dry with a lively acidity, but has a bold and robust mouthfeel packed with melon and tropical flavors. Grown on the North Fork of Long Island by Martha Clara vineyards, it also showcases a typical salinity and minerality found in the wines grown so close to the Atlantic Ocean. Very age-worthy through 2030.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Cantaloupe and honeydew melon, pineapple, and honey suckle combine with a marked minerality and salinity typical of wines grown on the North Fork of Long Island. Round mouthfeel, yet a punctuated acidity offers many layers and a wide opportunity for food pairings. Lovely and bright now, yet will continue to evolve to a softer, more rich wine over time.
