Coming out of a relatively warmer vintage this Merlot, sourced from Suisun Valley, shows off a ripe, bold, fruit- driven profile. A two day cold-soak occurred before steady fermentation in stainless steel tanks for eleven days. Fermentation and aging was then completed in barrels. 4% Cabernet Sauvignon gives this wine an elegant finish and savory, herbal notes.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Rich and ripe black cherry and candy apple hints on the nose aside lighly toasted oak. Palate opens with a medley of concentrated fruit, blackberry jam, hits of dried mint and cedar. Round, plush and indulgent.
